 Ingredients:

16.25 lbs Briess 2-row pale malt
1.25 lbs German melanoidin
   

Adjuncts/Random:
Yeast Nutrient

Hops:
8 AAU Warrior (60) - whole leaf
8 AAU Simcoe (60)
8 AAU Centennial (45)
8 AAU Centennial (30)
8 AAU Cascade (15)
1.5 oz Cascade (dry)

Yeast:
1332 - Northwest


Brewing Notes: Second all grain.
Mashed at 159 for 60 minutes.
Sparged to collect ~6.5 gallons of wort.
90 minute boil. The first 30 minutes has no hop additions - just there to caramelize sugars.
Added hops at prescribed times. With 30 minutes remaining added 1/2 G water as evaporation had taken out a bunch (along with a boil over)
poured onto a yeast cake (from a racer 5 clone.) Activity noted within 1 hour.
Racked onto Dry Hops 12/7/05. SG = 1.02 which means Alc. is 6.5 ABW, 8.4% ABV. There is a HUGE amount of sediment here. Interested to see how much settles out over the next 2 weeks.
