Brewing Notes: Finally achieved good efficiency but ended up with a stuck runoff. This one was a doozy. The plan was

13.75 qts @ 189 to 154
2.7 quarts @ 210 to 160
Collect
10.63 qts @ 188 to 170

I hit 156, dropped to 153 after an hour. Somehow after I added the 2.7 quarts at 210 the temperature dropped.

I collected somewhere under 2 gallons and it stopped. The braid was jammed. I tried to free it up but had no luck. So I added the 10.63 quarts and collected

Somehow this only ended up yielding 5 gallons (should have been more like 6.5) so I got 1 gallon of VERY hot tap water & poured over the grains. Let that work it's way down and ended up collecting 6 gallons.

slightly more than 5 gallons ended up in the fermeting bucket.

Transferred to secondary 2/18. SG = 1.011

Bottled 3/8. FG = 1.008.

Yield:
4 x 750ml = 100 oz
7 x 22oz - =154 oz
2 x 500ml = 34 oz
23 x 12oz = 276 oz

Total = 564 oz or 4.4 gallons
Tasting Notes: Sample 3/19. Granted a bit young. Still, one thing is already clear - bittering hops need to be increased.
